By the time of the Annular Solar Eclipse in Libra on October 15 at 7.55 am, Pluto will have Stationed Direct at 27 degrees 53’ of Capricorn on October 11, still forming a T-square to the Nodal Axis by just a 3-degree orb. Mars, conjunct the South Node in Libra made a tight square to Pluto, from 29 degrees 14’, opposing Eris tightly conjunct the North Node, that he rules in Aries.
This very dynamic aspect pattern interestedly mimics the positions of Mars and Pluto in the original, initiation pattern of this Eclipse Saros Series 7 South! The Eclipse series was initiated on June 22 1248 at the South Pole, with Mars square Pluto and trine the New Moon. Bernadette Brady stated that the immense power, anger and force of Mars square Pluto, channeled into this series of eclipses, will enable either huge obstacles to suddenly easily clear, or precipitate a pending potential crisis which will suddenly manifest and move through the lives of those effected. It will feel as if everything is moving at great speed, too fast to control easily.
The Shadow path for the Solar Eclipse will be visible through North and South America as shown on the map from Time and Date above. It will not be visible in Australia but that will not prevent us feeling its effects. By the time of the eclipse, Mars will have moved on from Cardinal Libra into 1 degree Scorpio 14’ weakening his square to Pluto. However, the New Moon at 21 degrees 07’ of Libra will be conjunct the South Node he rules, at 24 Libra 52, sandwiching a tight stellium of asteroids, consisting of Medea, Isis and Persephone.
Pluto will be in opposition to the asteroid Gaea, Mother Earth throughout all of this period.
The Libra New Moon /Annular Solar Eclipse on October 15 has the potential to be a very powerful lunation/eclipse, it will take place at 7.55 am, positioned in the 22rd degree of the sign. The Sabian symbol for the Sun and Moon is “A child giving birds a drink at a fountain”, articulating the concern of simple souls for the welfare and happiness of less evolved beings who thirst for life renewal, or solitude.
Venus the Moon’s dispositor and ruler of the Libra South Node, recently left the sign of Leo for virginal Virgo on October 9, having been in the sign of the Roaring Lion for over 4 months. She will be in mutual reception to Mercury in Libra, so the pair may support a change in perspective enabling the turning of a corner from Pluto’s square to the Nodes and the lunation.
Remember with the Sun and Moon in the sign of Libra, the energy focus is generally around:
• Seeking and maintaining balance and a peaceful environment
• Relating more deeply and harmoniously with those you love in all areas of life
• Surrounding yourself with beautiful things
• Remaining upbeat about perceived threats to your relationships, developing more self-belief and inner security
• Assessing expectations, especially within relationships, ensuring that they are reasonable and achievable, where possible remaining open to what happens in the moment
• Stimulating your intellect through discussion or study of alternative views
• Making decisions about situations you have been procrastinating over
The area most aligned with the position of the New Moon can be best gleaned from your natal horoscope chart, however if you only know your Sun Sign, then affirmations around the areas indicated below are likely to be the most powerful, some adjustment may be required to the life areas described!
