The Aries New Moon on April 9 at 4.21 am (AEST), will also be a Total Solar Eclipse, it won’t be visible in Melbourne, but we will still feel its powerful effects! The eclipse will be part of Saros Series 8 North, which started near the North Pole on May 15 1501.
Bernadette Brady has suggested “This series will bring inventiveness & flashes of genius. You may experience intuitive leaps, insights, good ideas, visions, or vivid dreams which pull you away from your social life or relationships, causing strain in your private life. You will need to be free, even if for only a few weeks”.
The Sun and Moon will combine energy at 19 degrees and 24 minutes of Aries, the Sabian symbol for this 20th degree of Aries is “A young girl feeding birds in winter” demonstrating the transmutation of life into love through overcoming crisis by compassion!

The luminaries will be in in an exact conjunction with centaur Chiron, the “Wounded Healer”. The glyph for Chiron is sometimes said to represent the key to healing. Chiron was a son of Saturn or Cronos, who impregnated the nymph Philyra, whilst she was shape shifting into a horse, to try to escape him. She was so ashamed when Chiron was born in centaur form, that she begged to be transformed back into the Linden tree she was named for.
So, Chiron was abandoned at birth by both parents and brought up by the heavenly twins Apollo and Artemis. They tasked him to become a teacher and mentor to the other heros and demi-gods, who had been abandoned by their heavenly fathers, teaching them both how to fight and the value systems needed for their fates. This included Achilles, Jason, Heracles and Apollo’s own son Asclepius, who later gained dominion over healing himself.
Chiron was accidently wounded again, later in life, by one of Heracles poisoned arrows. He couldn’t die so being in agony anyway, offered to take the place of Prometheus, who was being punished by Jupiter/Zeus for stealing fire for mankind. In the end Jupiter took pity on his step-brother placing him in the stars as the constellation Centaurus.
The centaur body Chiron has a very elliptical orbit between Saturn and Uranus, a real maverick!
Eclipses are caused by the proximity of the Nodal Axis to the luminaries. In this case, less than 4 degrees from the lunation. Sol and Luna will also be applying to Eris and Mercury Retrograde by around 5 degrees. They will also be tightly opposed by asteroid Asteria, (Starry Sky & Astrology) and Mother of the powerful Hekate (Transformation & Crossroads). Asteria will will be sandwiched between Eos (New Dawn) and the South Node, all in the sign of Libra.
Ceres will be forming a tight T-Square from Capricorn, now to the Lunation itself. The South Node forms the focal point of yet another Yod or Finger of God requiring adjustment. The base points have now moved to Mars and Saturn in Pisces, sextiling Hathor (Egyptian Moon & Harmony). So many energies will be coming to assist in healing, as well as resolving the past, through integration with the Libra South Node in the 7th House of Partnership, as well as Nyx, who previously represented the darkness associated with servitude in the 6th House of the Aries Equinox chart (not shown).
However every 50 years Chiron returns to its position at birth. This is known as the Chiron Return, when one has the opportunity to heal ones wounds from birth in the same manner as Chiron.! Incredibly, this stunning Solar Eclipse across the United States shown below (on April 8 at 1.21pm in Philidelphia), has Chiron within a one degree orb from his position at the inauguration of the country, using the Sibley chart.
The 5th US Chiron Return will become exact on April 20 2024….It is interesting to note that the transiting South Node will be applying conjunct to the Natal Saturn, at the same time as, transiting Saturn conjunct Mars will form a partile quincunx to it. Saturn could also be said to widely oppose Chiron in the Natal chart.
It would seem that moves are drastically needed to adjust beliefs, in order to get real about healing the US Chiron wound. This wound would have to be associated with the slavery that contributed to building the prosperity of the emerging nation, when it fought for its independence on a platform of freedom!
It continues on in a country where the right to bear arms is still valued so highly, yet the number one cause of childhood mortality is from being shot by firearms! This was reported in Forbes magazine on October 2 2023!
