The Mars Occulted Gemini Full Moon will be at 16 degrees and 01 minutes of the sign, on December 8 at 3.08 pm, the 17th degree of the sign. The Sabian Symbol is “The head of a robust youth changes into that of a mature thinker”. This suggests the transformation of physical vitality into the power to build concepts and intellectual formulations through which knowledge can be transferred – mental metamorphosis!
The symbol for the Sun in the 17th degree of Sagittarius is “An Easter sunrise service draws a large crowd”, the culturally stimulated longing for group participation in the process of rebirth.
The Moon will be closely moving towards an exact conjunction to Mars retrograde in Gemini (exact 12 minutes later). Luna will have recently separated from connecting with the asteroid Achilles, so will be separating the two warriors in a close stellium. It may be time to see more clearly what the effect has been of words we have spoken, or actions we have taken in anger, especially if they were motivated by fear or self-righteousness.
Mars will exactly oppose the Sun less than two hours later! Likewise, the Sun will be even more closely flanked by two asteroids in Flora and Nyx Goddess of the Night. Juno in Pisces will make a tight square to the lunation, opposing dwarf planet Orcus in Virgo, so will form a Grand Mutable Cross or Square in the sky with Sol and Luna.
Uranus will also form a tight and awkward quincunx to the Sagittarian Sun, forcing some kind of adjustment to his stance. The Luminaries will be widely squared by Neptune so it may be even more difficult than usual to see issues clearly under this Full Moon!
Another T-Square will be formed through the asteroids, from Gaea and magical Merlin in Aries to Sun God Apollo in Libra, squared by Goddess of Transformation and the Crossroads, Hekate, standing alone in her portion of the Cancerian sky. The stars are echoing the message given from the Sabian symbols, for transformational change and rebirth!
The asteroid Kassandra, another player with Achilles in Homer’s Trojan War, will be opposing Jupiter from the last minute of the last anaretic 29th degree of Virgo.
