March will be a busy month where the planets begin to align for the new patterns forming over the next 12 month period. The change of sign from the Moon’s Nodes last month from Aries/Libra back into Pisces/Virgo from the previous zodiac, (don’t forget the Nodes move in retrograde motion), has paved the way for a new eclipse season in the changed signs! The first instance will be the Total Lunar Eclipse/ Virgo Full Moon on March 14 occurring at 5.54pm, so not visible in Melbourne.
This eclipse will be from the Saros Series 9 New North along with the Partial Solar Eclipse/Aries New Moon on March 29. Bernadette Brady describes the energy of the series, which started at the North Node on August 21 1664, as physically expressive relating to physical efforts and events, violence and a occurences. These could be positive like with first time experiences with snow or water skiing or involve accidents and less pleasant events. The best approach being to keep an ever-watchfull eye to safety rather than hide-away.
The Virgo Full Moon on March 14 at 5.54 pm will be a Total Lunar Eclipse at 23 Virgo 56’ centered on the Americas, as shown on the map from Time and Date below! The Sabian Symbol for the 24th degrees of Virgo is “Mary and her little lamb”, innocence and pure simplicity. The Sun in the 24th degree of Pisces opposes this with “On a small island surrounded by the vast expanse of sea, people are seen living in close interaction”. This relates to centralization and the relationship between the inner and the outer self, if for only a few weeks”.
The Moon in Virgo will be separating from the asteroid Flora, so something inside you may be ripening ready to emerge. However, with the Sun in Pisces separating from Saturn, this is likely to be inhibited by feelings of difficulty and fearfulness. A helpful easy opposition from Uranus in Taurus may provide unexpected solutions, from the trine to Luna and sextile to Sol!
Lunar Eclipses mainly affect how we are feeling, rather than manifest in external disturbances. The third decan of both Virgo (Wealth) and Pisces (Perfected Success) relates to the 10 of Pentacles and Cups respectively, both indicate the possibility of positive outcomes.
Mercury the ruler of Virgo will have come to a standstill, ready to Station Retrograde a day later on at 5.56 pm on March 15, at 9 degrees 33′ of Aries.
