Capricorn Full Moon

Capricorn Full Moon on July 3 at 9.38 pm (AEST), positioned at 11 degrees and 18 minutes, the 12th degree of Capricorn, with the Sun opposite in Cancer.

For the first step we will be graced by the Capricorn Full Moon on July 3 at 9.38 pm (AEST), positioned at 11 degrees and 18 minutes, the 12th degree of Capricorn, with the Sun opposite in Cancer.

The Sabian Symbol for this Moon was described as “An illustrated lecture on natural science reveals little known aspects of life”, the ability to explore unfamiliar realms and discover the laws underlying the complex processes of nature, exploration.

The symbol for the Sun in the 12th degree of Cancer, will have the Sabian symbol of “A Chinese woman nursing a baby, whose aura reveals him to be the reincarnation of a great teacher”, the revelation of latent worth in experience, once it is seen in its deeper meaning, or revelation.

The Moon will be making a tight and grounding Earth Grand Trine, with asteroids Isis in Virgo and Minerva in Taurus. Luna will also form a same degree opposition, with the magical asteroid Merlin, and a wider opposition to Mercury, (who will both be conjunct the Sun}.

The month began with Neptune Stationing Retrograde at 7.05 am on July 1, at 27 degrees and 41’ of Pisces. The Sabian Symbol for this 28th degree of Pisces is a very abundant one “A fertile garden under the Full Moon reveals a variety of full-grown vegetables”. There will be much to be gained from turning into your intuition and your dreams as the planet of mystery and intrigue turns inward.

There are many references here to magical abilities, which may be disconcerting, following so closely after Neptune’s station retrograde. The luminaries will also form a tight square to asteroids Pythia and Kassandra in Libra, so once again, psychic messages which are hard to believe, must be considered.

Full Moons are a time to decide what, and how much of something, needs to be purged from our lives. Mercury will be separating from his superior conjunction with the Sun, so a time for reflecting on, and harvesting the insights that have been received, before applying them towards your goals. Ideas can be disseminated along with the products of your creative processes!

Jupiter in Taurus will be making an easy opposition to the lunation, a trine to the Moon and sextile to the Sun. Saturn in Pisces will be making a similar sextile to the Moon and trine to the Sun, albeit from a much wider orb of 4 degrees.

The Moon is at her perigee, the part of her orbit that skims closest to the Earth, so she will appear very large and bright in the sky. A “Super” Moon as the media have dubbed this! It will facilitate the integration of energies between the luminaries, our outer ambitions balanced against what nourishes us from an inner perspective, bringing a lucky energy to bear on any practical outcomes. Have we been playing things safe and ignoring opportunities to further our careers, or ignoring what our soul has been begging for, to ground our foundations?

This Full Moon also has an optimistic and magical feel to it, perhaps we can believe in some of those magical and unbelievable insights that Neptune, Merlin, and Iris are beaming into our psyches.
