The Cancer New Moon will emerge at 7.43 pm, on June 14, at 21 degrees and 59 minutes of Cancer, its 22nd degree. The Sabian Symbol being “A young woman awaiting a sailboat”, the tragic results which are likely to occur when the individual’s will pits itself carelessly against the power of the collective will of society, that is expectancy.

The third decan of Scorpio is ruled by Venus and illustrated in the Tarot by the Seven of Cups with the meaning of illusionary success!

The Luminaries will be separating from Mercury who will have moved back to 19 Cancer 50’ in his retrograde journey. Asteroid Vesta, the Goddess of the Eternal Inner Flame, will be making an almost exact square to Sol and Luna from the sign of Aries bringing some celestial fire to the equation. She will be closely separating from sister asteroid Pallas Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom. Both of them almost the earliest asteroids to be discovered and recognized as archetypal forces. The pair will be widely opposing the asteroid Flora Goddess of Ripening and Astarte the most ancient Venus archetype uncovered.

Sol and Luna will also make a tight sextile to asteroid Isis in Virgo, the Egyptian Neter of Love and joint ruler of the Land of the Nile with husband Osiris. So many feminine archetypes bring their energy to this emotional and watery New Moon, helping us to nurture and support those we love and the environment we all inhabit.
