The Natalchart outlines our life blueprint or potential from the position of the stars at our birth. An accurate birth time is needed to predict which areas of your life and development will be impacted by the planetary energies. If an accurate birth time is not known, this can be determined through tracking significant events from your life against your chart, this is called Rectification.
As the stars continue to orbit the sun in the sky they transit or trigger different points in your natal chart bringing different energy to be experienced in a variety of ways. The Evolutionary reading examines a period of around 5 years surrounding the current time to assist in self-development and growth. It takes into account transits, progressions and directions, such as Solar Arc and Solar Return. Some astrologers offer this as an annual update, usually focused on the birthday.
I find it more useful to broaden the focus, but have no problem with conducting these readings on an annual basis, as often a new emerging energy can become significant and change the current focus.

Natal charts may be compared between two people in a process known as Synastry . This can identify areas of potential synergy and possible difficulties likely to arise within partnerships or relationships. I prefer to only conduct these type of readings when both people have some understanding of their own natal potential, through previous Natal chart consultations. From an ethical viewpoint I will not undertake such a reading without written consent of the other party and I believe the best outcomes occur when both parties attend the reading.
